Why Community Corrections Matters?

Community-based correctional facilities (CBCFs) provide meaningful alternatives to incarceration by creating structured opportunities for change. At MonDay, we partner with courts, state agencies, and attorneys to deliver research-informed, holistic treatment that addresses substance use, mental health, and behavioral challenges.

Our approach is grounded in accountability, dignity, and the belief that people can change.

MonDay is committed to inspiring hope and supporting every resident who chooses to engage in the change process. By fostering accountability, resilience, and personal growth, we help individuals build a stronger future for themselves, their families, and their communities.

A Structured Path to Change

MonDay integrates a Behavioral Management System (BMS) with a coaching model that emphasizes growth, self-awareness, and personal responsibility. Staff serve as coaches, helping residents recognize patterns, set goals, and develop the skills needed to make healthier decisions.

Each resident completes a comprehensive assessment and receives an individualized treatment plan developed with licensed clinical staff. Through structured programming, evidence-based treatment, and consistent coaching, residents progress from orientation to reentry by demonstrating commitment, completing goals, and applying new skills.

MonDay’s Clinical Department is staffed by approximately 40 professionals, all icensed and certified in the State of Ohio. Our clinicians are trained in evidence-based approaches including:

-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-Motivational Interviewing (MI)
-Stages of Change
-Risk-Needs-Responsivity (RNR) principles

These approaches guide treatment and ensure services are tailored to address criminogenic needs and support long-term behavior change.

Effective treatment goes beyond curriculum. Our clinicians focus on building trust, strengthening motivation, and developing a strong therapeutic alliance. By meeting residents where they are, we support meaningful progress and lasting change.

The Behavioral Management System focuses on dynamic factors such as behavior, thinking patterns, values, education, and vocational development. It addresses the underlying drivers of substance use and criminal behavior while reinforcing positive change.

Residents progress through five structured phases, from orientation to reentry. Advancement is based on demonstrated progress, including completion of treatment goals, adherence to facility expectations, and the ability to apply learned skills.

MonDay uses the In-Program Behavioral Assessment developed by the University of Cincinnati Corrections Institute (UCCI) to measure progress and guide advancement. The phase system reinforces positive behavior, reduces negative behavior, and applies evidence-based principles to support lasting change.

Our Commitment

MonDay is committed to supporting every individual who chooses to engage in the change process. By fostering accountability, resilience, and personal growth, we help residents build a stronger future for themselves, their families, and their communities.
